‘Changes’ is the second EP from Sydney producer Morgan Huggins, a very spiritual sequel to 2021’s ‘Anzac Bridge Filter’. Co-head of local community, event, radio show & label Lovejoy, Morgan’s production is an extension of the moments he experiences both within music & in his life apart from it.

Morgan created ‘Changes’ in a period of great flux in his life. Moving between cities he’s called home for the majority of his life, out of homes that had great impact on him, and preparing to leave it all behind in pursuit of a journey across Australia, ‘Changes’ embodies a nervous excitement that we all feel in the most momentous occasions of our lives.

“Ode to Glebe is a farewell letter to a very special suburb where a few of my most formative years were spent. Upon realizing that it was time for me to leave, I got extremely nostalgic and everything I felt while living in that rambling old terrace with its astro-turf rooftop started bubbling out of me. The joy, the growth... even those sad moments have a bitter sweetness when you look back at them.

This song is almost like a collage of all the things I learnt while I was there, the many styles of music I absorbed in my room prone to shaking whenever a truck drove past - as my tastes spread out to trance and breakbeat.

It's a dedication to the best house parties I have ever experienced and the smorgasbord of roommates who revolved through that house's never-locked doors.

I guess you could say it's also a bit of a farewell to youth - or at least a part of it.”
